Members of RAEIF who are at the training on Islamic Banking in Bahrain,- Madina Kalimullina, Magomet Yandiev, I. Ishakov, visited the International Islamic Rating Agency (IIRA). Delegation was received by Nasser Ali Merchant, the executive director of IIRA. The meeting was also attended by Reza Alansari, a financial analyst of agency.
During the meeting, M. Kalimullina, director of the Economics Department of RMC, informed Mr. Merchant on the state and prospects of development of Islamic financial institutions in Russia.
Mr. Merchant told the guests about the activities of the agency, the history of its creation and types of ratings, which it assigns (among them - sovereign ratings, sukuk, corporate governance, shariah audit and so on.), and readily answered all the questions of the Russian delegation.
The parties expressed their willingness to cooperate in the future.
